Sharing your worries with another person can take off a lot of pressure and provide a huge sense of relief. This is why we offer a free counselling service on-site.
What counselling can Outhouse offer me?
The standard number of sessions is six, but the amount of sessions will be determined on an individual needs basis between you and your counsellor.
Do I qualify for free counselling with Outhouse?
To find out it you qualify you will first need a referral. If you would like to self-refer for our counselling service, you can contact the office on 01206 871 394 or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org
Unfortunately, we can only see clients that are 18+.
If I don't qualify for free counselling, what other help can you give me?
In cases where support groups and counselling are not an option, we can provide one-on-one support. This can be done by telephone (0345 123 23 88), e-mail (email@example.com), or by arranging a visit to our Centre at 19 East Hill, Colchester.
We will strive to help you as much as we can with the available resources, and in certain situations refer or signpost you to those that have more experience with your particular case. Anonymity is guaranteed.
Our helpline number is 0345 123 23 88, though there are no longer any set times for it. Instead, it will be staffed intermittently, and you are much more likely to get an answer during the day. Otherwise, please leave your name and number on our voicemail and we will contact you back at the earliest opportunity.
I'm an counsellor in-training. Can I do a placement with Outhouse?
We also have placements for in-training counsellors. Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
